Lakeville South alumnus Alex Ingalls has been named the National High School Student Production Award winner in the category of Photographer for a video he created during the 2017-18 school year. Ingalls was announced a national winner on Oct. 18 via a live web stream hosted by Tom Bergeron, host of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars,” on the NATAS’ official Facebook and Twitter pages.
Lakeville South alumnus Nate O’Meara was also nominated as a finalist in the Commercial category. The students’ advisers were Tyler Krebs, Jim Cecil and Derek Otten.
The NATAS National High School Student Production Awards recognize outstanding achievement in video production. Ingalls and O’Meara were selected from over 2,000 high school student entries across the country in 23 programming and craft categories. Entries were judged by selected industry professionals and media academics, according to the NATAS.
